The Director
Julie Ann Robinson is a British theater, television and film director. Her career began in 1998 when she directed the play Terms of Abuse. Robinson began directing television episodes in 2000, when she directed an episode of the soap opera Doctors. From 2001 to 2004, she directed two more episodes of Doctors. In 2004, she also directed the first half of the miniseries Blackpool. Because of this, she won 'Best Serial Drama' in BAFTA. Her directorial debut was the American feature-film The Last Song.
The Writer
Nicholas Sparks wrote the screenplay of the film The Last Song which his friend Jeff Van Wie co-written with him. He was born December 31, 1965 in Omaha, Nebraska US. He is an internationally-bestselling American novelist and screenwriter. He has 16 published novels, Six have been adapted to film, including Message in a Bottle, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song.
The Producers
Adam Michael Shankman (born November 27, 1964) is an American film director, producer, dancer, actor, and choreographer. He was a judge on the television program So You Think You Can Dance. He began his career in musical theater, and was a dancer in music videos for Paula Abdul and Janet Jackson. He has directed several feature films, including A Walk to Remember, Bringing Down the House, and Hairspray.
Jennifer Gibgot is Adam Shankman's sister. Shankman helped his sister on a script, which led to a meeting with the studio producing The Wedding Planner. Gibgot produced other films such as 17 Again, Hairspray and Step Up.
Tish Cyrus (born September 1, 1959) . She is Miley Cyrus' mom and wife to Billy Ray Cyrus. She produced the film The Last Song where her daughter plays the main role.
